Curious about me?
In short, I’m an award-winning writer and author with 20-plus years of experience in journalism, advertising and publishing. More deeply, writing has taken me places I never imagined going. My career has been a wondrous journey involving one writing adventure after another.
Along the way, I’ve been a local high school sports reporter, copywriter, communications writer, journalist and author. From 2015 to 2025, I was a respected freelance national sports writer with a focus on women’s sports, particularly basketball. My work has appeared in Awful Announcing, The Athletic, Fast Company, Just Women’s Sports, NBC.com, The Ringer, ESPN/ESPNW, Deadspin, The Guardian, Allure, The Huffington Post and many more.
I’ve also authored four works of young adult fiction and the critically-acclaimed non-fiction sports book, Hail Mary: The Rise and Fall of the National Women’s Football League.
Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, I’m a fierce women’s sports advocate and believer in equity for all across the sports landscape. As my writing journey continues to unfold, I plan on using my voice and platform to lift up women’s sports in every way that I can.
